The Kamakura sharpening process produces a hook point which is every bit as good as a hand-sharpened hook, but without you having to go to all the time and effort involved in doing it yourself. The Kamakura Wide Gape is a version of this classic pattern, but with a much sharper, finer point – it is likely that you will need to change your hook after every fish you catch, due to the points being so delicate. It features a slightly in-turned eye, with a short shank, heavily forged bend, and a beaked point. It can be used with a wide variety of different pop-up and bottom bait presentations, and once it goes in it tends to stay in.The points are protected by a blob of wax which needs to be carefully removed before use, and they come supplied in a box which holds each individual hook securely in place – you get ten hooks in each box. Barbed and barbless versions are available in size 4, 6, or 8.
Korda Longshank X Hook
Korda Longshank X Hook
This hook was based on the popular, original fly hook patterns, which found favour with carp anglers due to their shape and hooking ability – but this is a much stronger and sharper version of that pattern. This pattern is one of the original styles of hook in carp fishing, but is still just as effective today with modern rigs, thanks to a 20 degree in-turned eye, long shank and straight point, which ensures that it flips over and takes a hold very easily, ensuring consistently good hookholds. The Longshank X is also very strong and can stand up to being used on snaggy and weedy waters, thanks to the forging on the bend and the gauge of wire used. Available in a pack of ten hooks in sizes 8, 6, 4
Korda Kurv Shank X Hook
Korda Kurv Shank X Hook
The Kurv Shank is a very versatile hook and can be used with both pop-up and bottom bait rigs, including popular presentations such as the KD and IQ D-rig. It has great hooking properties thanks to an aggressively in-turned eye and curved shank, which helps it to flip round and take a hold inside the mouth, even when using it without Shrink Tube or a Kicker.
Hooking potential is also aided by its long, needle sharp point. This popular pattern is now available in a Kurv Shank X version, and is perfect for when you want something stronger than the standard hook, but don’t need a hook as heavy and thick-wired as the XX model. The Kurv Shank X comes in sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8, supplied in packs
Korda Klor Hook
Korda Klor Hook
The Klor hook pattern was designed and created by Danny Fairbrass to be an aggressive, strong, fast turning hook with brilliant hooking potential with a variety of rigs. It is incredibly strong and proven to be able to withstand fishing for big carp in extreme conditions, both at home and abroad.
The Klor has a very aggressive shape (even more so than our Kurv Shank hook), with the point in line with the eye, and this encourages it to turn quickly and take hold in the mouth of a carp. It is suitable for use with all manner of rigs, including the Combi Rig and Spinner Rig presentations, and with bottom baits, pop-ups and wafters.
The point is long, ultra-sharp and slightly in-turned which makes it far less likely to be damaged by nuisance species, such as crayfish and small fish, moving it around on the bottom, especially when fishing over gravel.
The wire is a heavy gauge, and this results in a very strong hook which can be used in weedy or snaggy conditions, even when using braid, without fear of it bending out. During testing Danny landed carp to over 60lb from wild, French waters that were full of snags. Despite the thickness of the wire, the point remains very sharp and the whisker barb, once the hook goes in, will ensure it stays in place.
Sizes: 2, 4, 6 and 8
Korda Mixa Hook
Korda Mixa Hook
This hook has been specifically designed for floater fishing, exhibiting great hooking potential as well as being as unobtrusive as possible when targeting wary carp. The Mixa has a very short shank and a wide gape, and can be used either with baits, such as cork balls, fished directly on the back of the shank, or with a hair rig. It is still a strong hook and has been used to land some very big carp, and the beaked point is razor sharp. It comes in both barbed and barbless versions, in a choice of size 6, 8, 10, with ten hooks in a pack.
Korda Wide Gape
Korda Wide Gape
This is a really classic pattern of hook and the Wide Gape has accounted for a huge number of big carp captures over the many years since it was first launched. It is based on an old classic spade end hook pattern from the 1980s and 1990s which found favour with many anglers at the time – the Maruta Kinryu – but we have improved it and made it more user-friendly by switching the spade for an eye.
The Wide Gape features a slightly in-turned eye, with a short shank, heavily forged bend, and very sharp, beaked point. It can be used with a wide variety of different pop-up and bottom bait presentations, and once it goes in it tends to stay in.
Wide Gape coming in sizes 10, 8, 6, 4
Korda Krank Hook
Korda Krank Hook
This pattern has been a huge seller since Tom Dove first came up with it back in 2014, and has accounted for countless big fish both at home and abroad, and even some monsters of other species well in excess of 100lb, in Thailand. The unique shape features a very wide gape, with quite a short, curved shank into a slightly in-turned eye – the in-turned effect is accentuated by the shape of the shank and the way it sweeps round to the eye. The point, which is slightly beaked, is offset and this shape helps it to ‘Krank’ its way in once it takes an initial hold. These hooks are very strong, and feature a micro barb which won’t hinder penetration, but once in, will ensure that the hook stays in place. A barbless version is also available. The Krank can be used with a wide variety of different rigs and is incredibly effective even with a simple knotless knot, or it can be used on more complicated set-ups, such as the Spinner Rig which
Each packet contains ten hooks, in barbed or barbless, with a choice of sizes: 4, 6, 8, and 10,
Korda Choddy Hook
Korda Choddy Hook
This hook has been specifically designed for use with stiff hook links and rig presentations such as the chod rig or hinged stiff rig, but it can also be used with other pop-up presentations as well. It has an out-turned eye, to help give a continuous curve from the hook link to the hook when using stiff presentations, and the rest of its shape is based upon the iconic Wide Gape pattern, albeit in a slightly thicker wire. It is an incredibly strong hook, as Darrell Peck will attest to, having caught carp to over 70lb on the size 8 version. The slightly curved point is very sharp, and the barb is of a size that doesn’t hinder penetration, but once in, helps the hook stay securely in place. The Choddy comes in barbed and barbless versions, in a choice of size10, 8, 6 or 4, with ten hooks in each pack.
Korda Kurv Shank Hook
Korda Kurv Shank Hook
The Kurv Shank is a very versatile hook and can be used with both pop-up and bottom bait rigs, including popular presentations such as the KD and IQ D-rig. It has great hooking properties thanks to an aggressively in-turned eye and curved shank, which helps it to flip round and take a hold inside the mouth, even when using it without Shrink Tube or a Kicker. Hooking potential is also aided by its long, needle sharp point. It also comes in a barbless version. For those fishing in extreme angling situations, especially elsewhere in Europe, a Kurv Shank XX is available, which shares the same shape and properties, but on a much heavier gauge of wire. The Kurv Shank comes in sizes 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and 1; with the Kurv Shank B in sizes: 8, 6, 4, and 2; All come with ten in a packet.
Korda Combi Rig Safe
Korda Combi Rig Safe
The Mini RigSafe Combi is designed to store up to 20 pre-tied rigs, plus all the terminal tackle bits associated with them. This rugged, moulded plastic rig case features a soft-touch rubber coating, and also has markings to help you to measure your rigs exactly during construction of them, plus a magnetic fastener to prevent any chance of it accidentally opening and spilling the contents. Inside, one half of it has a high density foam board, plus a ridged aluminium bar and recess, to enable you to store up to 20 rigs of up to 8 in. long – or longer if you make use of the double pins – without fear of them becoming tangled or the hook points getting damaged. The recess also ensures that any shrink tube or Kickers stay in the correct shape as well. The other side features 12 compartments which are accessed via clear plastic flip-tops, and these are designed to hold essentials such as Hook Beads, hair stops, shrink tubing, swivels, links, beads, or anything of a similar size. It comes supplied with 15 standard pins and 10 double ones.
These ready-tied Kable leadcore leaders are as good as anything that you can construct yourself and save you the time, effort, and any element of doubt that you’ve done it correctly. The only decision you have to make, is what length leader suits the type of fishing situation as the leaders are available in 1m and 50cm long versions.
Each leader is constructed from our incredibly tough and fast-sinking Kable leadcore, with a Size 8 Ring Swivel spliced to one end of it and a spliced loop at the other end so that it can quickly be attached and detached from your main line as required. The Size 8 Ring Swivel version is extremely versatile as they can be used in conjunction with various Korda components such as Lead Clips, Inline Leads and Running Rigs, giving you the flexibility to change your approach quickly and efficiently.
Each pack contains three Kable Ring Swivel Leaders, in a choice of Weed/Silt or Gravel Brown colours.
These Dark Matters leaders are designed to be used with drop-off inline leads, with the fused material attached to one eye of a Size 8 Ring Swivel to allow you to fish this set-up effectively. This leader has tungsten collars impregnated into it, to ensure it stays pinned to the bottom. It is just 30cm in length, so is perfect when being used with solid PVA bags and where you don’t need a longer leader, as well as on lakes where longer leaders are banned. The other end of this leader has a fused loop, which your main line can either be tied to, or to allow the leader to easily be taken off, the loop-to-loop method is best. These leaders are 30lb breaking strain and come in a choice of clear, weed or gravel colours. You get one leader per pack.
This fused leader has integral sections of tungsten to ensure that it stays pinned to the lake bed, and has been designed specifically for fishing any helicopter set-up. It can be used either for conventional hook links fished helicopter style, or for use with chod rigs. It is constructed using components for our Leadcore Chod Safety System to ensure that in the event of your main line breaking, your hook link can easily come free from the lead, thanks to a No Trace bead – two spare beads are supplied – and with a ring swivel to attach your hook link to.. At one end is a fused loop which you attach your main line to, and at the other is a Kwik Link to allow you to add any lead that you want to use, and this is covered with a Helicopter Sleeve for a neat finish which helps to prevent tangles. These 1m long leaders are very abrasion resistant with a breaking strain of 30lb (or 40lb for the stronger Euro version), and can easily be matched to the type of bottom you’re fishing over as there is a choice of Clear, Weed, Gravel, Silt or Clay colours. You get one leader in a pack.
These fused leaders have integral sections of tungsten, ensuring that they stay pinned to the lakebed and help to avoid spooking fish. The Hybrid Lead Clip Leader features a Hybrid Lead Clip and Tail Rubber fused to one end of it, along with a fused loop at the other end for easy attachment, and detachment, from your main line – the simplest way is to attach it loop-to-loop style. The 1m length Dark Matter material used for these leaders is very abrasion resistant and has a breaking strain of 30lb – or 40lb for the Euro version. The leader can easily be matched to the lakebed as there is a choice of different colours: Clear, Weed, Gravel, Clay or Silt. Each packet contains one leader.
These fused leaders have integral sections of tungsten, ensuring that they stay pinned to the lakebed and help to avoid spooking fish. The Ring Swivel Leader simply comes with one of our size 8 Ring Swivels fused onto one end of it, and with a fused loop at the other end for easy attachment, and detachment, from your main line – the simplest way is to attach it loop-to-loop style. It is the perfect choice for helicopter set-ups and can easily be adapted to fit a Heli-Safe System, plus as long as you moisten the leader first, our Inline Leads, Lead Clips, Running Rigs, and even Bait-Up Method Feeders can easily be slid down the leader to the Ring Swivel, and located in place. The 1m length Dark Matter material used for these leaders is very abrasion resistant and has a breaking strain of 30lb – or 40lb for the Euro version. There are also 50cm and 30cm versions if you require a shorter leader - such as for long range casting. The leader can easily be matched to the lakebed as there is a choice of different colours: Clear, Weed, Gravel, Clay or Silt. Each packet contains one leader.
Korda Naked Chod System
Korda Naked Chod System
The naked chod rig, fished directly on your main line, is an incredibly effective set-up, especially when you don’t want to disturb fish already in front of you, but can’t be sure that it is clear on the bottom, as your hookbait will always be presented in a way that it can be taken by a carp, even if it lands on weed. It is less obtrusive than one involving a leader, and is also the perfect choice on waters where leaders are banned. The Naked Chod Safety System is the perfect – not to mention very simple – way to set this up quickly and efficiently and contains all of the components you need, apart from a Size 11 Ring Swivel or Size 11 QC Ring Swivel. The system comprises of a Rubber Barrel Bead, which goes closest to the lead, and then your Ring swivel is sandwiched between that and a Chod Sleeve - with both components being supplied on a wire retainer which makes it very easy to thread them onto your line, which they will then grip and remain in place at whatever distance you set them above your lead (depending on the type of debris you are fishing over). The Ring Swivel is prevented from sliding up the line beyond the Chod Sleeve once a hard plastic No Trace Bead is fitted to that. Should your main line break above the Chod Sleeve, then the No Trace Bead – which has a slit in the side of it - easily pops off of it and falls off of your line, allowing the Ring Swivel to come free, and the fish is left with just the hook link. Each Naked Chod Safety System includes: 3 x Chod Sleeves; 3 x Barrel Beads; and 12 x No Trace Beads. Spare No Trace Beads are also available and are sold in packs of 25.
These tail rubbers are specifically designed for use with PVA bags and are much longer than our standard Tail Rubber. The extra length of the Solid Bag Tail Rubber allows you to moisten and twist the top of a Solidz PVA bag around it for a neat, secure closure. The Solid Bag Tail Rubber fits perfectly on any of our inline leads, sitting flush to reduce any chance of tangles. They are weed/silt in colour to blend in with the bottom, and you get ten in a pack.
As the name suggests, these leaders are designed specifically for use with Solidz PVA bags. They are constructed from 1ft of 50lb Kable leadcore, to ensure that everything stays pinned to the bottom, with a Size 8 Ring Swivel spliced at one end (if you prefer you can cut the ring off and just use it as a normal swivel) – which ensures they work perfectly with an inline lead and the swivel properly locates into the nose of it. They come complete with a tail rubber to fit onto the inline lead, and at the other end there is a spliced loop, with the loop-to-loop method being the best way of attaching them – this means that you can have these leaders ready to go with a PVA bag already tied, and simply loop off one leader and put the fresh one on, and be ready to cast back out in a matter of seconds. Each pack contains three leaders.
Korda Naked Tail Rubber
Korda Naked Tail Rubber
The perfect product to use when fishing a lead clip “naked” i.e. when not using rig tubing or leadcore. Primarily designed for use with zig rigs when using a lead clip, these “naked” tail rubbers will help avoid tangles associated with this type of fishing. There is no need to use anti tangle tubing as the rig is nearly always going to be longer than the tubing.
Traditionally when using a standard tail rubber and no tubing, the difference in diameter can cause the zig rig to tangle around the mainline. These specially designed Naked Tail Rubbers have a long tail that tapers down to a tiny bore, creating a seamless join to the main line. These can be used will all Korda lead clips including Hybrid lead clips.
Quantity: Packs of 10
Colours: Weed/Silt and Clay/Gravel
Korda Anti Tangle Sleeve
Korda Anti Tangle Sleeve
These tapered rubber Anti Tangle Sleeves neatly slide over the eye of your hook link swivel and help to reduce the chances of your rig becoming tangled whilst it is being cast out. They are soft enough to easily slide over a swivel eye, but also have enough rigidity to kick your rig away from your main line – which is especially useful when fishing with zig rigs. They are also perfect for use with our QC (quick change) clips to neatly finish off the rig and allow it to be changed quickly when needed. You can match them to the type of lakebed that you are fishing over, and the rest of your rig components, as they come in clay, gravel, silt, or weed versions. Pack of 25.

Korda Tail Rubber
Korda Tail Rubber
Tail Rubbers are streamlined rubber sleeves that have been designed to perfectly fit onto lead clips and inline leads, to give your lead systems a more streamlined profile. This helps to reduce tangles. These durable Tail Rubbers are available in weed green, gravel brown, clay, or silt colours, to match all lake bed conditions! They come in packs of ten.
Korda Lead Clip
Korda Lead Clip
Our original Lead Clip was designed to allow your lead to release in situations where you needed it to, such as if you got snagged or a fish went through thick weed. But the lead won’t come off as easily as it will with our Quick Release Lead Clip, and so avoids unnecessarily dumping leads, unless you really need to for the safety of a fish. The plastic retaining arm is strong enough to take even the hardest cast with a heavy lead without fear of it breaking, and the back end of the main body of the Lead Clip has grooves which help the Tail Rubber to stay on and only come off when it needs to. You can alter the ease with which it releases the lead, dependent on how far you push the Tail Rubber onto the body. To achieve an easy release of the lead, you need to ensure that the Lead Clip can’t run freely on the line, and it is designed such that a size 8 Swivel will fit snugly into the nose of it and will remain in place. This is a very safe semi-fixed set-up, and if used correctly will ensure that the fish can always get rid of your lead, even if your main line breaks. The Lead Clip comes in a choice of colours – Clay; Weed; Silt; or Gravel – with ten in each pack.
Korda Multi Lead Clip
Korda Multi Lead Clip
The Multi Lead Clip is a universal lead system which can either be set to eject the lead as per a conventional lead clip or fished running style to confuse those extremely wary carp.
DF and the Korda boys who fish Gigantica every year have been using this ‘running style’ lead clip for many years and has proven to be one of the very best set-ups for hooking the extremely pressured carp on the Main Lake. The running method works by removing any pivot point which may help the carp eject the hook; the lead continues to slide up the main line as the fish pulls against it.
To force the lead to eject when snagged, use the supplied pins to plug the swivel or Kwik Link into the clip. This will lock the lead clip in to place and allow the lead to be ejected. Compatible with all tail rubbers in the Korda range but ensure the clip is wet before pushing on and for fish safety, never push the tail rubber on fully.
To fish running, do not plug the Swivel or Kwik Link, allowing the lead to slide up the main line.
Available in Weed/Silt and Gravel/Clay
This is a quick change version of our original Hybrid Lead Clip, and allows you to quickly and easily change hook, simply by clipping on a new one, as long as it has a loop tied in the end of it. The Hybrid Lead Clip QC has been designed so that it will eject the lead if it gets stuck in weed or snags, and so that it can also be used in conjunction with leader materials such as leadcore, which form too bulky a knot to work with our normal Lead Clips. The clip features an integrally moulded QC Swivel, with a metal loop at the other end of it, which your main line or leader is tied to. Because the swivel can’t pull free from the housing, it works whenever the lead needs to be ejected. The streamlined, one-piece design means there are no fiddly locking pegs or hinges to worry about - just connect the leader to one end and the rig to the other! The uprated arm allows leads up to 5oz to be cast safely even at extreme range and the clip is available in Weed/Silt or Gravel/Clay, with eight in a packet.
Korda Hybrid Tail Rubber
Korda Hybrid Tail Rubber
The Hybrid Tail Rubber is designed to be used with our Hybrid Lead Clips in situations where you are using thicker leader materials which create a bulkier knot. These tail rubbers have a larger internal cavity so that they can be fitted over bulkier knots whilst still fitting neatly onto the lead clip, and allowing the lead to eject when it needs to, without becoming jammed in place – just ensure the clip is moistened before you push the rubber on. Hybrid Tail Rubbers are available in two colours - Weed/Silt or Gravel/Clay – to blend in with any lake bed, and you get ten in a pack.
Korda Hybrid Lead Clip
Korda Hybrid Lead Clip
Since its release, the Hybrid Lead Clip has established itself as the best clip on the market. It has one very simple purpose, and that's to help you ditch the lead if the fish you hook becomes snagged. The design features an integrally moulded Ring Swivel, ensuring that the swivel simply cannot pull free from its housing. This forces lead ejection in the event of it becoming jammed, meaning that carp can be landed easily in weedy, snaggy conditions. The streamlined, one-piece design means there are no fiddly locking pegs or hinges to worry about - just connect the leader to one end and the rig to the other! The uprated arm allows leads up to 5oz to be cast safely even at extreme range and the clip is available in all four of the key Safe Zone colours: weedy green, clay, gravel and silt. You get eight in a pack.
Dark Matter anti-tangle tubing is quite simply the new benchmark for rig tubing. It's the heaviest on the market, and is ridiculously easy to thread. These attributes have seen it become the tubing of choice for fussy anglers like Darrell Peck and Tom Dove.
Dark Matter tubing is super limp too, which helps it to follow the contours of the lake bed, keeping your setup well hidden. We make it in three colours, Weed Green, Silt and Gravel, which allows you to closely match the tubing to the lake bed that you're fishing over.
Supplied in 2m lengths.
Korda Katapult
Korda Katapult
The incredibly popular Katapult has been re-designed to make it even better than before, and a new even lighter version has been added to the range. The colour of the Katapult frame is now different for each type of elastic – heavy (black); medium (green); to make it easy to quickly grab the right one out of your bag.
The medium’ in the range – and features even lighter elastic, along with a larger pouch than the other two models, and is ideal for mass baiting with particles at closer ranges.
Each Katapult features a lightweight hollow, yet very strong, nylon frame with a textured handle that has been ergonomically designed to fit in your hand comfortably as well as allowing you to get a good grip, even with wet hands or ones covered in particle juice! The pouches feature drainage holes as well as extra strengthening around the area where it attaches to the elastic (which can be replaced and new elastic fitted to the connectors with ease), and are shaped to ensure that your bait lands where you want it to, allowing for tight grouping with multiple boilies, tiger nuts or similar, when putting a few out at a time (filling the pouch will give a wider spread).
A tag at the back of the pouch allows you to get a good grip, which improves accuracy as it isn’t slipping from your hand prematurely. Tangled elastics and twist have always been annoying when trying to put out larger amounts of bait, as it makes the process much slower, but that problem has been alleviated thanks to the use of size 10 ball bearing swivels and welded rings to connect the elastic the frame.
The range on Interceptor Controller Floats is designed to cover any surface fishing situation you might find yourself in, from under the rod tip all the way out to long range. They are super buoyant, with a buoyant stem to ensure that they lay flat on the surface and don’t spook fish, and the opaque white colour also helps with this from below the surface – whilst also allowing you to easily spot them above the surface and keep track of where your rig is. One very useful feature is the ease with which you can change the size of controller you’re using, as they’re designed so that a QC Ring Swivel neatly fits into the rubber insert in the nose of the controller, and your main line can be attached to this via a figure-of-eight loop. Simply detach your main line from the QC Ring Swivel, slide off the controller, and thread on a different sized one – this is particularly useful if the range at which the fish are feeding at suddenly changes, such as when your floaters drift on the wind. The 15g and 30g floats are great all-rounders, and for anything at longer range, the 50g Interceptors are ideal.
Korda Sky Raider Spod
Korda Sky Raider Spod
Never before has carp fishing seen such an aerodynamic, long-distance bait rocket. This will put yards on your spodding capability and in the hands of any good caster 150 yards is easily possible. It has a tapered design making it nose-heavy for a streamlined flight. This truly will become recognised as the ultimate long-distance spod. Its curved fins give it true stability in flight and help keep it in the air for as long as possible. Like the Skyliner, the Skyraider also has the large-profile holes making it just as quick to empty, and as easy to retrieve. As with all our spods, we recommend you mix in some groundbait or pellets into your mix. This will enable you to compact the mix into the spod to eliminate any spillage.
Korda Silicone Sleeves
Korda Silicone Sleeves
These Silicone Sleeves were originally part of our Running Rig Kits and are designed to cover the swivel and wire loop on a lead, but due to demand we started selling them separately. Used in this way they will make any rig neater and also help to prevent tangles. If cut down shorter these Silicone Sleeves are also perfect for covering our Kwik Links and Stik Klips. They are made from very durable silicone tubing in a Weedy Green colour, and you get 20 in a pack.
The Heli-Safe Tubing Kit enables you to overcome Leadcore and Leaders bans by allowing you to fish a helicopter style of rig using rig tubing. This conversion kit allows the Heli-Safe System to be used with tubing whilst retaining all of the usual features of a traditional helicopter set-up and giving you the ability to drop the lead if you need to.
As you know, helicopter set-ups have great anti-tangle properties, you’re able to cast them a long way and they allow the top bead (recently update to a on this kit) to be set to determine how the hook link settles on the bottom.
For those of you that don’t use heli type rigs… you can basically adjust the bead to allow for what your rig is landing on. If it’s on a hard bottom the distance can be short, low lying weed the distance can be increased and for something like deep silt it can be pushed right up, allowing the lead to plug into the silt but leave the rig to settle on top.
The solution to the problem may look very simple, but a lot of thought and testing has gone into getting the Heli-Safe Tubing Kit just right, so that it performs in the intended way in terms of still dropping the lead.
INCLUDE THIS WITH THE ABILITY TO TAKE IT OUT
We did initially release this product back in 2018 but after it come to our attention that some of the Tungsten Beads – designed to fit snugly onto rig tube had suffered an issue during the manufacturing process. They were too tight when used on Dark Matter Rig Tube, creating a potential safety issue with the setup. We removed the product from shelves as a precautionary measure as our priority has always been to ensure carp remain safe with anglers when using our products. We have since replaced the tungsten bead with a silicone sleeve combined with our brilliant No Trace Bead.
This small plug is known as a ‘witch’s hat’ and is located inside the Heli-Safe, it’s part of the very clever design and holds the tubing in place. When used in conjunction with an adapted Heli-Safe ‘cap’, featuring a hard plastic ‘tail’, this ensures that the tubing can’t come loose and that the system works as it was originally intended to. The ‘witch’s hat’ is the cleverest part of this product, as it holds the tubing securely in place… it can be used with either our Dark Matter tungsten or plastic Kamo rig tubing.
The Heli-Safe Tubing Kit is sold in packs that include everything that you need for two complete set-ups (excluding the tubing). They also come in a choice of brown or green to match the lakebed.
Korda Mini Heli-Safe
Korda Mini Heli-Safe
The Mini Heli-Safe is a scaled down, compact version of the original and retains all of the features that helped to make it such a huge success… plus a few more.
It still works in exactly the same way, which was revolutionary when the Heli-Safe first hit the market. We were able to arm anglers with a way to fish any helicopter style presentation, but with the ability to drop the lead as soon as a fish was hooked. This was a massive advantage in weedy or snaggy situations, or when using set-ups such as chod rigs.
The Heli-Safe also allowed anglers to fish in this way quickly and effectively, simply by attaching a lead to the system, and the product did the rest, releasing the lead as soon as your hook link swivel pulled against the top of the bead. Technology has moved on since then, and we have managed to make the system much smaller, which not only makes it less obtrusive on the lake bed; but also reduces drag through the air and will improve your distance when fishing at extreme range; as well as making it less likely to get caught in weed or snags during the fight, once the lead has been jettisoned.
Korda Heli-Safe
Korda Heli-Safe
This ingenious system revolutionised fishing with helicopter rigs, as it meant that leads could consistently be discharged as soon as you hooked a fish, whenever the situation meant that this was essential. As well as dropping the lead when you are fishing in very weedy or snaggy situations, it is also popular with anyone using a chod rig, where ejecting the lead increases your chances of landing a fish, especially at long range where a heavy lead is being used. There is also the option though to fit a small plastic collar (supplied) which fixes the lead in place, for use in situations where dropping it isn’t necessary, but you still want the versatility that the Heli-Safe System offers. It can be used in conjunction with leaders – such as any ring swivel leader in our Dark Matter or Kable Leadcore ranges, which can be adapted to fit the Heli-Safe bead – or with a naked set-up with your main line straight through to it. Heli-Safe System works perfectly in conjunction with our Leadcore Chod Safety or Naked Chod Safety systems. Each pack contains two Heli-Safe beads, in a choice of green or brown, along with all the bits you need to make it work – including instructions.
Korda Zig Float
Korda Zig Float
Adjustable zigs are an incredibly effective way of fishing this method as they allow you to vary the depth that they are set at without the need to recast, and when fishing them a long way off of the bottom they make it far easier to land a fish, and cast out, than with a traditional zig.
The Zig Kit includes everything that you need to set up the perfect adjustable zig and to fish it in an effective and tangle-free way. The precision, blow-moulded inline float features a soft rubber insert which holds a size 11 QC Swivel, and it also comes with an anti-tangle sleeve supplied – this allows you to ensure that your hook link isn’t twisted at all before you cast out, and this is essential to ensure that it works properly once it is in the water.
The Zig Kit also comes supplied with a stem to attach your lead to and which allows the float to easily be popped up and adjusted as desired. The stem is constructed features a large ring to allow your main line to run through it freely and a foam polyball to keep this ring clear of any debris on the bottom, and at the other end of it is a ball bearing swivel with a Kwik Link, which allows rapid rotation and helps prevent tangles.
All you need to add is a hook length and bait, and a piece of dissolvable foam, and you’re ready to cast out! Two different sizes are available – medium and large – so that the Zig Kit can be used at any range.
Each kit contains a Zig Float, Anti Tangle Sleeve, Size 11 QC Swivel and lead boom.
Korda Shrink Tube
Korda Shrink Tube
This Shrink Tube can be used to finish off rigs and increase their hooking potential by curving the hook link inwards, thus helping the hook to flip over once in the carp’s mouth. There are number of rigs which utilise Shrink Tube, with the line aligner being one of the most common. It is stiff enough that it will maintain its shape, but once a fish is hooked it will straighten so that no damage is done – unlike with an actual bent hook.
Our shrink tube comes in various sizes and colours:
Weed, Clay, Silt & Gravel, Medium 1.6mm - Weed also comes in XL
An extremely versitile end tackle component which can be used with any hook size and match to any lake bed you are fishing over.
Each pack contains eight 55mm lengths.
Korda Line Saver Bead
Korda Line Saver Bead
This clever bead is aimed specifically at anglers who are fishing naked chod rigs and has been designed to protect your line during the fight. The Liner Saver Bead is made from tungsten impregnated rubber, to ensure it sits flush to the lakebed, and is designed to be used as the bead closest to your lead when using a naked chod. Its tapered design means that your hook link swivel will sit against the bead when you cast, but is still free to fly up your line to your upper bead during flight, but when a fish is hook it will slide back down to the thicker end of the Line Saver Bead, with the tapered part providing your main line with protection from damage – as compared to the swivel directly rubbing against your line during a fight. They come supplied on wire loops attached to a plastic toggle, which makes the Line Saver Bead very easy to thread onto your main line. There are eight in a packet.
Korda Shok Bead
Korda Shok Bead
This has been designed for a multitude of uses. Its unique shape helps to prevent tangles and the cavity at the narrower end will hold a size 8 swivel securely within it. The Shok Bead is ideal for running rigs, marker floats or any set up that requires a buffer bead, and it comes in a low-viz green colour. Pack of 15.
Korda Floss Caps
Korda Floss Caps
A lot of modern rigs involve tying your bait onto a rig ring or micro swivel with Bait Floss, and this can be fiddly, especially in the dark or with cold fingers. Floss Caps remove all the hassle from attaching your bait though, as you simply thread one on to the tag ends of Bait Floss - once you’ve used a baiting needle to mount your hookbait on the floss – push it into the bait until it sits flush to it, and then user a lighter to blob the ends of the floss to hold the Floss Cap securely in place.
Korda Silicone Tube
Korda Silicone Tube
This Silicone Tube has a multitude of different uses, but the main one is holding the hair in place on your hook. It comes in 0.75mm – to ensure that it will fit any hook size and diameter of hair material, trapping it securely but sliding up the shank if it needs to once a fish is hooked. It is Weedy Green in colour and there is 1.5m of it in a pack.
The Tapered Sleeves are perfect for covering various clips - such as the Hooklink Clip, Kwik Link, and Stik Klip – which are used for attaching either your hook link or lead. These soft rubber sleeves have a rapidly tapering end to them, which helps to prevent tangles, both due to its shape and the fact that it will completely cover the clip, and any of the bits on a clip that make it more prone to causing tangles. The come in a choice of Weedy Green or Muddy Brown, and you get ten in a pack.
These tungsten impregnated Anti-Tangle Sleeves are part of our Dark Matter range, and are designed to help to kick your hook link away from the lead when it hits the bottom, and also to stop tangles during flight. The Dark Matter Tungsten Anti Tangle Sleeves are finely tapered and made from a supple rubber which can easily be pushed over a size 8 swivel, or similar hook link attachment, and are available in either a Short or Long version to cover any type of presentation or set-up. The rubber used to make these sleeves has been impregnated with a high level of tungsten, to help keep your rig nailed to the deck. Each pack contains eight sleeves.
Korda Hook Bead
Korda Hook Bead
The Hook Bead is useful for a wide range of different rigs – pretty much anything where a rig ring or micro swivel is used on the hook! Although this is a very simple item of tackle, a lot of thought has gone into making the Hook Bead as perfect as it can be. They grip incredibly well and you can rest assured that they will remain exactly where you have positioned them without the need for any glue, but once a fish is hooked they will slide round to the eye if necessary. The tapered shape with a flat end ensures that a ring or swivel will sit flush to them and can’t get stuck in place or effect its ability to freely slide up and down the hook as you require. They come attached to a central stem – with ten Hook Beads per stem – which makes it very easy to slide them onto the hook, even with cold fingers, and then simply pull the individual bead away from the stem once it is in place. A large version is also available and is designed for use with larger sized hooks and will more easily fit over the barb. They will fit any hook in the Korda range from size 2-10, and you get 20 of them in a packet.
Our specially designed High Grip Hook Beads are made with an increased surface area which means a large percentage of the bead is in contact with the shank of the hook. This design feature ensures that the High Grip Hook Bead will not slip when using large hook baits at long range. The slick tapered shape of the bead allows it to remain as small as possible whilst maintaining its grip strength.
The Medium size is designed to trap a Medium Micro Ring Swivel (or Medium) Bait Screw Swivel) on the hook shank for a variety of rig presentation.
The Large High Grip Hook Bead is ideal for those who use heavier gauge hooks or bigger patterns such as size 1 and 2. The larger diameter core will slide over these bigger, heavier hooks with ease and trap a Large Micro Ring Swivel in place.
Come in packs of 20 and in a subtle transparent green colour.
Korda Bait Screw Swivel
Korda Bait Screw Swivel
Changing your hookbait has never been simpler, thanks to our Bait Screw Swivel which allows it to be done in seconds, and it compatible with many of the most popular rigs. They can be used on any rig as a substitute for a ring or micro ring swivel, including the spinner rig and IQ D-rig. They can be used with both bottom baits and pop-ups, and are simply screwed into the bait in a clockwise direction, and have the surface area to ensure that the boilie stays on during the cast. There is a choice of medium or large versions. You get five per packet.
Korda Hook Klip
Korda Hook Klip
The ability to quick change your rig components has never been so popular in modern day carp fishing. The prominence of the spinner-style quick change mechanism is one of the reasons why that particular rig set-up is extremely prevalent in the modern-day carp scene.
These Hook Klips incorporate those same QC features but transpose them to many other styles of rig. Whether that’s a Blowback Rig for bottom baits or IQ D rig for wafters, these small metal latches make changing your hook quickly, an extremely easy process, whilst maintaining the mechanics of your chosen rig.
The eye of the Hook Klip is situated in the direction of the kicker to allow it to be pushed over without tearing and will sit discreetly out of sight. When the time comes to change your hook, simply slide back the kicker and unclip the old hook and replace with a new one.
Hook Klips are extremely durable, with a black nickel-plated coating. They can be used with monofilament or braid, making them the perfect addition to a multitude of rigs uses.
Come supplied in packs of 10.
Korda Kwik Link
Korda Kwik Link
This really is a multi-purpose link, which allows you to change hook links or leads in the blink of an eye. The shape of the clip makes it very easy to attach and detach things such as leads, swivels or hook link looks, even with cold hands or in the dark. Use a Tapered Sleeve, or similar, over it for a neater, more secure finish, especially when using to attach a hook link. The Kwik Link has a non-reflective finish. Available in small or extra small sizes, in a pack of 20.
Korda Stik Klip
Korda Stik Klip
PVA sticks are a great way of presenting your hookbait amongst a small patch of attraction, as well as ensuring your rig isn’t tangled - and are a favourite of Danny Fairbrass. The Stik Klip makes this style of fishing very quick and easy, as detaching, adding a PVA stick, and reattaching your hook link can be done in a matter of seconds. It is suggested that a silicon sleeve or Anti Tangle Sleeve is used to cover the Stik Klip for a neater presentation. Available in small and medium sizes, with 20 to a pack.
Korda Ring Klip
Korda Ring Klip
The Ring Klip has been specially designed for the easy attachment of hook links. The unique design allows greater movement thanks to the ring section of the clip. It can be easily attached to a swivel and used with a lead clip, or fished between two beads on a helicopter-style set-up. They come in packs of 20.
Korda Link Loop
Korda Link Loop
These have been designed to replace the need for a loop knot in the end of your hook link when using any of our quick-change links, such as Stik Klips and Kwik Links. These teardrop-shaped metal loops make it very easy to change hook link, and are of a size that can easily be pulled through a PVA stick with a baiting needle. The Link Loops are finished with a non-reflective coating and come in packs of 15.
Spare sleeves for securing No-Trace Bead.
The full No-Trace System (sold separately) creates a completely safe set up for use on leadcore and similar diameter leader materials such as the fused Dark Matter range.
Specifically designed, that should your main line break above the leader knot, your hook link can easily come free from the leader and all the fish is left with is the hooklink, rather than towing around a leader, or worst still a lead as well.
No-Trace Beads are pulled free from this retaining rubber Chod Sleeve, which until required to release, holds everything securely in place on the leader for casting and normal use
Spare No-Trace Beads and Leadcore Safety System are also sold separately.
Korda No-Trace Beads
Korda No-Trace Beads
The naked chod rig, fished directly on your main line, is an incredibly effective set-up, especially when you don’t want to disturb fish already in front of you, but can’t be sure that it is clear on the bottom, as your hookbait will always be presented in a way that it can be taken by a carp, even if it lands on weed. It is less obtrusive than one involving a leader, and is also the perfect choice on waters where leaders are banned.
The Micro Ring Swivel is the perfect choice for any rig where your hook bait is sliding on the hook shank, as it is very neat whilst still giving plenty of freedom of movement. These swivels work perfectly in conjunction with our Hook Beads, and allow more movement than a Rig Ring will do, as well as giving slightly more separation between the bait and hook. They have a dull finish to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The Swivel is equivalent to a size 20, packet contains ten Micro Ring Swivels.
Korda Chod Swivel
Korda Chod Swivel
The Choddy comes in barbed and barbless versions, in a choice of size 12, 10, 8, 6 or 4, with ten hooks in each pack.
Korda Size 8 Swivel
Korda Size 8 Swivel
The humble swivel completes the whole rig set up and since it is almost the last connection between you and the carp, it needs to be reliable. These very strong and reliable round-eyed swivels come from Japan, and have a lovely dull grey finish to them. They are compatible with all of the other Korda rig bits, perfectly fitting the Lead Clips, Inline Lead and Shok Beads, amongst other items. They come in a pack of 20.
The Quick Change Ring Swivel has been specifically designed for use with any helicopter set-up, to allow you to easily change your hook link. There are two different sizes of QC Ring Swivel available – size 8 or size 11 – with the ring end being designed to be threaded onto whatever type of leader you’re using for your helicopter rig, or your main line if you’re using a naked set-up. Your hook link can then easily be attached or detached from the clip as long as you use a rig with a loop at the end of it, and everything can be held neatly in place with a Dark Matter Anti Tangle Sleeve, or similar. The QC Ring Swivels are finished with a non-reflective coating, and each packet contains eight swivels.
Korda Big Eye Swivel
Korda Big Eye Swivel
These swivels have one very large round eye and one normal size one and, as with all our swivels, they come from the best Japanese manufacturers and have our trademark 'anti glint' dull-grey finish. They have three major uses. Firstly, they make very smooth running rigs when used as a replacement to the swivels found on the top of our leads. They were originally designed as part of the Running Rig Kits. But, after too many enquiries to mention, we had to add them to the range. The second obvious use is for helicopter rigs. The large eye will rotate better if a large bead is used, whereas a smaller swivel would bump around the larger beads circumference. In other words, the large eye will slide effortlessly around it. They can also be used at the top of a link for the marker float - the large eye will allow the line to pull through that bit easier than a standard swivel. Pack of 10.
Korda Micro Rig Swivel
Korda Micro Rig Swivel
From bait attachment, to combi-rig construction, the Micro Rig Swivel has a host of rig applications, but this tiny swivel is most widely used sliding on the shank of a hook, forming the blow-back element of many rigs and adding additional movement to the hookbait. Crucially, it has the same non-reflective coating that our other rig components are blessed with, eliminating any glint that might otherwise spook feeding fish.
- Size 20 rig swivel
- Ideal for bait attachment
- Can be used for combi rigs
- Non-reflective coating
The Spinner Ring Swivel has been specifically designed for use with spinner rigs and does away with the need to make do with other types of swivels which aren’t made for that purpose.
Previously using a spinner rig often involved having to use a pair of pliers to open up a QC Swivel or similar and jam the hook onto it, but these have a crooked shape opening which the hook can easily be slid onto, and then a piece of shrink tubing or Kicker is used to cover the connection and keep everything in place and sitting at the right angle.
This size 11 swivel also helps to create very neat spinner boom sections, with the ring at the other end of it giving plenty of movement and allowing you to crimp tightly to it, or if you’re using more supple materials which are being tied directly to the ring.
Korda Spinner Swivel
Korda Spinner Swivel
This is the perfect choice for anybody who want less metalware on their spinner rigs. The Spinner Swivel comes in size 11 and simply features a crook on one side of it, onto which the eye of your hook can easily be located and held in place with a Kicker. The other end has a normal swivel eye which a loop of Boom material can easily be crimped to. This simplifies everything and makes it less obtrusive, by doing away with a metal ring as part of the swivel.
Korda Ring Swivel
Korda Ring Swivel
These coated ring swivels have a wide variety of different applications when constructing rigs, and are available in either a size 8 or a size 11. The size 8 Ring Swivel is great for adding extra movement to your hook link, when fishing it in conjunction with a system such as the Lead Clip, which it fits into perfectly. When fishing helicopter rigs, the size 11 Ring Swivel is the perfect choice, as the ring allows it to rotate more freely on your line or leader than a conventional swivel does.
Korda Splicing Needle
Korda Splicing Needle
This needle is perfect for splicing loops into materials such as our Kable leadcore or DuraKord leader, thus making them very easy to attach and detach from your main line without the need to keep cutting them shorter. The Slicing Needle features a gated latch that closes sufficiently tightly that it will help to grip a tag end whilst it is being pulled through a splice to create a loop, and with no danger of the needle getting stuck in the fibres of the material being spliced. As well as for splicing, this 7cm long needle also comes in useful for threading baits onto PVA stringers. It features a hi-viz orange handle to prevent loss, and its ergonomic design means it is very easy to grip and use, even with cold or wet hands.
Korda Stik Needle
Korda Stik Needle
This is basically a longer version of our Heavy Latch Needle, and at 12cm long is perfect for threading PVA sticks onto your hook length. Whether you are using a braided or monofilament hook link material, the loop at the swivel end is easily held in place via the latched gate whilst a PVA stick is threaded onto your rig. It features a hi-viz red handle to prevent loss, and its ergonomic design means it is very easy to grip and use, even with cold or wet hands.
Korda Latch Needle Heavy
Korda Latch Needle Heavy
This heavy duty baiting needle is designed so that it can easily be pushed through harder baits. The latched gate ensures that the hair remains attached to the needle whilst it is being pulled through the bait, but is then easily released. The Heavy Latch Needle is 7cm long, very strong, and features a hi-viz green handle to prevent loss, and its ergonomic design means it is very easy to grip and use, even with cold or wet hands.
Korda Latch Needle Fine
Korda Latch Needle Fine
This baiting needle is perfect for use with softer baits – including particles such as sweetcorn - and leaves as small a hole through them as possible due to its very slim profile. It features a latch to hold your hair in place – whatever type of hair material you are using – whilst it is pulled through the bait. It features a hi-viz purple handle to prevent loss, and its ergonomic design means it is very easy to grip and use, even with cold or wet hands.
This baiting needle is designed for use with delicate baits that can easily be damaged or split by a wider diameter needle. The Super Fine Braid Needle is still very strong though and has a round profile, with a tapered point making it easy to push through harder baits such as tiger nuts and small pop-ups. It has a recessed barb to ensure that it will retain your hair loop in place whilst it is pulled through the bait, and despite its name, it can also be used with mono as well as braid. The handle allows you to get a good grip, and is colour-coded in blue for easy identification of the correct needle if you have a range of them in your tackle box.
Part of Korda's comprehensive range of baiting tools, the Braided Hair Needle is, as the name implies, for use with braided hook link materials, or any sort of braided hair material. It is sharp and strong enough that it can be pushed through any baits without splitting them, and the ‘crook’ design will allow a hair loop to be pulled through the bait without the needle getting caught up in the fibres of the braid. It features a hi-viz handle to prevent loss, and its ergonomic design means it is very easy to grip and use, even with cold or wet hands.
Korda Stripper Tool
Korda Stripper Tool
This anodised aluminium tool makes it very easy to strip any coated braid material – and without any chance of damaging your teeth in the process! It is extremely easy to use and has been designed so that it will strip the coating off but without damaging the braid inside. The Strippa Tool also features a circular groove at each end which is useful for tightening for, especially loop knots. It is finished in red to make it easier to find if you drop it.
Korda Bait Drill
Korda Bait Drill
These precision engineered drill bits come in a choice of 4mm, 6mm, or 8mm diameters, making them perfect for boring-out any hookbait and adding buoyancy to it, via the matching cork sticks, which are provided.
These are best used with boilies or nut baits where you want to add some buoyancy, such as critically balancing a bait or creating a snowman set-up from your bottom baits – or even just if you leave your pop-ups at home by mistake! The narrowest diameter drill is designed to drill a hole through hard baits that can’t be pierced using a baiting needle, or certainly not without splitting them. It is perfect for things such as air-dried boilies and pellets, and will bore a hole that can then be used to thread the hookbait onto your hair.
The end of the Bait Drill features a small spike which can be inserted exactly where you want to make a hole, and will ensure the drill doesn’t slip, and is designed in such a way that it reduces the chances of splitting the bait whilst in use.
The Bait Drill has a black and green ergonomically designed handle to allow you to get a good grip for precision drilling. Each pack contains one Bait Drill and up to six cork sticks depending on size
This innovative system was designed by Jason Hayward to allow you to fish an inline lead in the weed, as it will eject from the stem when it needs to. The mechanism has been designed so that it will withstand even the hardest cast, but should the lead get stuck in weed or a snag, then it will release – but only does so when necessary. It can be used with any type of leader or tubing, or on a naked set-up, and is compatible with solid PVA bags, but it is best to avoid Funnel Web ones as these can cause it to eject as it hits the surface. The insert has a ring swivel moulded into it, but you can cut the ring off if you prefer to use a normal swivel, or add a Kwik Link or similar. A Tail Rubber holds everything in place, as long as it is pushed on tightly, and the leads and inserts are numbered to ensure that you get the correct combination, which fits together properly. The leads are a flat pear shape, which makes it perfect for most situations other than extreme range, and come in a choice of 2oz, 2.5oz, 3oz, and 3.5oz. Spare leads are available separately. Each kit includes a lead, insert, and tail rubber.

Korda XT Snag Leader
Korda XT Snag Leader
The ‘XT’ stands for extra tough, and this monofilament leader materials is designed for us in extreme situations, particularly lending itself to use on large, snaggy European waters for big carp, where rigs are being dropped by boat rather than cast out. It is a great choice anywhere that braided leaders – like Arma-Kord – are banned, or where you want a bit more stretch. It also really comes into its own when fishing waters that have a lot of woodwork underwater, and whilst a braided leader can often cut into wood, increasing the chances of everything going solid, the thicker diameter of XT Snag Leader helps ensure that it runs across it instead or cutting, and increase your chances of landing the fish. There is a choice of breaking strains – 50lb (0.55mm) or 60lb (0.65mm) and it comes supplied on a 100m spool, which is designed to prevent more leader material than you actually need from coming unravelled – simply wind it straight off of the spool under tension.
Korda Boom
Korda Boom
As the name suggests, the main function of this hook link material is to create stiff booms, for rigs such as spinner, hinged stiff, and combi set ups. This fluorocarbon has a green tint to it, to help it blend in with the lakebed even more so than a clear one would do, but the biggest advantage is that it can be crimped– our two different sizes of Krimps are the perfect diameter to work with both breaking strains of Boom.
It is very stiff, so will ensure that your rig kicks out away from your lead system every time and sits straight, plus you know that it won’t be tangled. Two different breaking strains are available – 25lb 0.55mm or 35lb 0.65mm – and come on 15m spools.
This is a softer version of original IQ fluorocarbon hook link material and is great all-round rig material. It still has enough stiffness to be used as a boom material, but is supple enough that it allows movement so that rigs such as the IQ D-rig can work effectively. As long as it is tied correctly it retains good knot strength (we recommend a Grinner or Palomar knot) and is virtually invisible in water as a result of its refractive index. It comes on a 20m spool in a choice of 12lb, 15lb, and 20lb versions, to suit any angling situation.
Korda Mouth Trap
Korda Mouth Trap
This hook link material has been specifically designed for chod rigs, hinged stiff rigs and combi-rigs, and purposely has a very high memory, so that it will retail a curve. It can easily be pulled straight without the need for steaming and manipulated into a curve, without springing back straight like many stiff materials do – and this is what makes it so good for chod and hinged stiff rigs. It has a green tint to it to help it blend in with the lakebed, and comes in a choice of 15lb, 20lb or 25lb breaking strains, to cover any fishing situation or rig variation you might choose. Each spool contains 20m of Mouth Trap.
This line is specifically designed for floater fishing, either as a main line or hook link material. It is clear so as to be as inconspicuous as possible, as well as being very supple and limp, which helps your hookbait to move as naturally as possible when a carp sucks it in. It has enough stretch that it helps to provide some shock absorption when a fish is hooked. It comes on a 150m spool – plenty enough for floater fishing even when used as your main line – and in a variety of breaking strains to allow you to scale right down, with a choice of 12lb (0.33mm), 10lb (0.30mm), 8lb (0.28mm), or 6lb (0.25mm).
Korda Zig Line
Korda Zig Line
When zig fishing you will usually get more action if you are fishing as subtly as possible whilst still giving yourself a high chance of landing anything that you hook. As the hook link material is sticking straight up off of the bottom, it needs to be as unobtrusive as possible, and Zig Line was developed specifically for this purpose. It has a subtle green tint to help it blend in and is a low diameter for its breaking strain, whilst still offering enough strength and abrasion resistance to land anything that you hook, and also knotting very well. The 11lb version has a diameter of just 0.28mm, 0.25mm for the 9lb, and 0.22mm for 7lb breaking strain, with each being supplied on a 100m spool.
korda SUBline
korda SUBline
This has been designed so that it is incredibly fast sinking and more akin to a fluorocarbon in that respect, but as it is a monofilament it still retains the attributes that can make it superior to a fluorocarbon in some angling situations. Not only is it heavy but it is also very supple, which makes it great for slack line fishing as it will literally hang down limply from your rod tip and lay over the contours of whatever is between you and your hook bait. In addition to that, it still casts incredibly well – far better than a fluorocarbon can – and is highly abrasion resistant, as well as having good knot strength. It comes in a choice of different breaking strains – 12lb, 15lb or 20lb - to cover everything from open water fishing in the UK to tackling snaggy venues for big fish abroad. It comes in a choice of SUB Brown or SUB Green colours, on a 1,000m spool.
Korda Touchdown Line
Korda Touchdown Line
Touchdown main line obtained its name as a result of the increased amount of ‘feel’ that it gives you when your lead hits the bottom. Knowing that you are fishing on an area where you can present a bait effectively, and being able to get a drop that you are happy with, are essential, and this is achieved by getting a good ‘drop’ when you feel your lead down to the bottom. That has been achieved by reducing the amount of stretch in this monofilament main line, whilst still maintaining a high degree of abrasion resistance and good casting performance. It also sinks very well and has a high knot strength, making it a great choice for use in any fishing situation. It comes in a choice of low visibility green or brown, so that it can be matched to the type lakebed and water colouration on the venues you are fishing. A choice of breaking strains – 12lb, 15lb, and 20lb - covers all fishing situations, from fishing at long range through to very weedy or snaggy venues. Each spool contains 1,000m of line.
